Bulgarian town pulls in the Brits
The number of Brits choosing to invest in the Bulgarian property market has had an overwhelming impact on one small town in the country.
According to a report in the Independent, the influx of Brits has turned the town of Bansko in Bulgaria into a "small corner of Britain in a foreign field", as the country continues to prove popular for overseas property investment.
With the area offering fantastic skiing and hiking surroundings, it is no wonder that Brits have taken to this region and invested, in many cases in a holiday home.
However, it is not just holidaymakers that have purchased property in Bansko, according to the newspaper. Retirees and businessmen looking for a new place to carry out their operations from have also purchased Bulgarian property.
And to make them feel they are in a home away from home, one Bansko pub even offers satellite television, English breakfasts and cider.
